Clouding achieves ENS certification for its cloud services
At Clouding, we continue to strengthen our commitment to security. We have obtained certification of conformity with Spain’s National Security Framework (ENS) at the Medium category for the information systems that support our cloud infrastructure services (IaaS).
This certification recognises our team’s work and provides those who trust us with further evidence of the security of the systems underpinning our services.
What is the National Security Framework?
Spain’s National Security Framework, governed by Royal Decree 311/2022, establishes the principles and requirements for protecting information and electronic services. It provides a reference framework for public administrations and the companies that supply them with certain services or solutions.
Its purpose is to protect essential aspects such as the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, as well as its authenticity and traceability.
To achieve this, it includes organisational, operational and protective measures, from risk management and access control to incident response and service continuity.
What does Clouding’s certification confirm?
The certification confirms that the information systems supporting the delivery of cloud infrastructure services (IaaS) under the Clouding brand meet the ENS requirements for the Medium category, within the assessed scope.
To obtain it, these systems have passed a formal audit verifying compliance with the applicable security measures.
This assessment covers both the technology and the processes and security management behind the service.
What does it mean for our customers?
When choosing a cloud provider, you need to understand how it protects the infrastructure that will host your projects. ENS certification provides a verifiable reference for assessing that security.
For our customers, this means:
- Greater confidence in the provider, with an external assessment of compliance with the applicable security requirements.
- Information to assess their cloud infrastructure, particularly when their projects involve specific security requirements.
- Support for public sector projects, where the provider’s conformity with the ENS may be among the requirements.
Clouding’s certification applies to the systems included within its scope. The applications and systems that each customer deploys on their servers require their own configuration, protection and, where applicable, conformity assessment.
