Recently – you may have already noticed some improvement in the response times of your Cloud Server – we have doubled the bandwidth assigned to all Cloud Servers hosted by Clouding.io.
Your Cloud Server will enjoy faster downloads and uploads and a lower latency time, so you always have the best service for your project 😉
What is the bandwidth?
Bandwidth refers to the maximum speed that can be obtained throughout the connection and is usually calculated in megabits (Mbps) or megabytes (MBps) per second.
The bandwidth assigned to a VPS Server is the maximum amount that a server can concurrently transfer. Or in simpler terms, how many concurrent users -or data transfers- that connection can support and at what speed.
How have we doubled the bandwidth?
We have connected a new provider to Clouding.io. For this matter, we have deployed new fiber optic connections between our Datacenter and a new exchange point. This not only allows us to add this new provider, it’s also the basis to be able to add new providers in the upcoming months and continue increasing the flow available for your Cloud VPS Server.
By connecting our platform to a new exchange point, this increases the Internet connection availability of your Cloud Server. Since we not only connect with different Internet providers, but we do so in different geographical locations and using different fiber connections.
